International Tours
Hopefully some of the information below will help you with your tour planning. Should you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact Trans-Atlantic Soccer at info@transatlanticsoccer.com.
Q1. When will all arrangements be confirmed?
A1. Depending on the destination and time period of your tour, this will generally be 6 – 8 weeks prior to departure. Please be aware that some minor details can change up until a few days before departure.
Q2. Why are flights included in your prices?
A2. We will work with every group to try to find the best solution to make the flight portion of the tour as affordable as possible, but please bear in mind that half of the fun/group bonding/team dynamics of going on such a tour is in the flying and traveling together as a whole group.
Q3. Are family members welcome on the tour?
A3. Trans-Atlantic Soccer encourage all family members and supporters to tour with the group. The experience of traveling abroad with sibblings and relatives is what makes such a tour so memorable.
Q4. Can I send my child without a parent, or with one parent only?
A4. Yes. This is solely determined on each parent and whether you are comfortable with your child travelling with the coach or with a designated parent helper. Trans-Atlantic Soccer will always have a Representative on hand and they, together with the group leader and coach will keep an eye on your child throughout the tour. Each child traveling unaccompanied by a family member will be asked to complete a Travel Consent Form to ensure safe passage.
Q5. How far in advance should we book our trip?
A5. Because of our extensive local knowledge and the close relationships we hold with professional clubs and facilities in Scotland, 8 – 10 months in advance is more than enough time to make the trip happen. Our best advice is to decide on your preferred tour as early as possible and confirm the dates and content so as to ensure availability at the time of registration.
Q6. We are ready to book. What do you need from all tour participants to put this into place?
A6. Trans-Atlantic Soccer require the completed and signed Registration Document and a deposit of $750 from each traveler.
Q.7 Do we need a passport or visa to travel?
A.7 A valid passport is needed for any person travelling outside your country of citizenship. Tour participants are individually responsible for obtaining a valid passport prior to departure. We encourage you to obtain a passport early in the booking process to avoid disappointment or last minute panic!
Q8. Should we purchase trip insurance?
A8. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. Your group will be covered by sports group insurance for the duration of your stay in Scotland, however it should be understood that Trans-Atlantic Soccer and our partners, accept no liability for any damages incurred by circumstances that would normally be covered under trip/travel insurance (as per our Terms and Conditions Document).
Your Trans-Atlantic Soccer Representative will cover Trip Insurance in the tour presentation. However you are more than welcome to investigate your own trip insurance options.
Q8. I think my team would benefit from a Pro-Tour but I’m unsure about the standard of opposition they will face on tour?
A9. The TAS Pro-Tour is the most advanced UK soccer tour available on the market. We work closely with a number of the top sports professionals and soccer clubs in Scotland and England to create a soccer tour that will challenge your team in new ways and provide them with a competitive advantage over the rest of the field. We have the ability to arrange matches against the ‘best of the best’, teams that are beset with international players and the SPL and EPL stars of tomorrow. For this reason, it is advised that only teams with i) recent domestic success or ii) teams that have players who are destined for collegiate soccer/professional soccer should sign up.
